Lead carpenter

Run a residential remodeling project from demolition through punch list, with an apprentice and trade partners reporting to you on site.

What we are looking for

Five or more years of residential remodeling experience
Comfortable with framing, trim, cabinet installation and tile
Reads plans and can set a layout from a laser
Clean driving record and your own hand tools

$20 to $27 per hour (sample)

St. Louis metro

Learn the trade properly alongside a lead carpenter. We pay for your tools after 90 days and cover OSHA 10 and lead-safe certification.

What we are looking for

No experience required, attitude and attendance required
Able to lift 60 pounds and work on your feet all day
Reliable transport to job sites across the metro
Interest in doing this for a career, not a season

Office on Manchester plus daily site visits

Own the schedule, the trade calendar and the client relationship on three to five concurrent projects. This is the role that decides whether a client recommends us.

What we are looking for

Three or more years managing residential construction
Strong written communication, because our clients get written change orders
Comfortable running a weekly client meeting and saying difficult things kindly
Familiar with St. Louis City and county permitting

$32 to $44 per hour (sample)

St. Louis metro

Set tile in bathrooms, kitchens and entries to a standard you would be proud to show your own family, with the waterproofing done our way.

What we are looking for

Four or more years setting tile professionally
Experienced with bonded sheet membranes and pre-sloped pans
Large-format porcelain and levelling systems
Willing to flood test every shower and photograph it

A call with Marcus. Twenty minutes, mostly about what you like working on and what you would rather never do again.

A paid trial day. You work a real job site with a lead carpenter, at your quoted rate, and both sides find out quickly.

An offer in writing. Rate, benefits, start date and which crew you would join, within two business days of the trial.
